positions:
- Professor: Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology & ENT. Pay package: PKR 425,000.
- Associate Professor: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine, Paeds, Eye, ENT & Anesthesiology. Pay package: As per PM&DC rules/criteria.
- Assistant Professor: Pathology, Surgery, Medicine, Gynae/Obs, Paeds, Psychiatry, Behavioral Science, Accident & Emergency. Pay package: PKR 200,000.
- Senior Registrar: Clinical Sciences. Pay package: PKR 100,000.
- Demonstrator: Basic Sciences. Pay package: PKR 100,000.
Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment:
- These appointments are purely on a contract basis as per Contract policy 2006 of GoAJ&K for an initial period of 3 years (extendable) or as specified by the Government subsequently.
- All vacancies will be filled purely on merit basis, and preference will be given to AJK nationals.
- Selected candidates must abide by the rules and regulations of PM&DC and the institution. The appointment during the contract period can be terminated with 30 days' notice or payment of one month's salary in lieu thereof without assigning any reason.
- Monthly salary is subject to tax deduction at source as per law.
- Age limit as per Government PM&DC policy.
- For matters not specified in this contract, the rules and regulations of GoAJ&K apply.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
- The appointee must join the institution after receiving the offer letter from the Principal's office within the prescribed period. Failure to join within the specified time will result in the appointment of the next candidate on the merit list.
- Selected faculty must be physically present in the College/Hospital on duty for a minimum of six hours every working day. Any duration less than six hours per day will be considered part-time faculty as per PM&DC rules, which is not permissible; therefore, such faculty members will be marked absent from duty for that day.
Terms and Conditions from Department of Health GoAJK:
- Applicants who are DoH employees already working in a teaching hospital of a medical college should process their application through the proper channel along with all required documents.
- Selected DoH employees will draw their salary against their substantive post at their respective teaching hospital, and teaching allowance will be paid as per Government policy/availability of the post.
