CPGCL plays a vital role in the socio-economic development of the country by ensuring reliable and efficient power generation. The Company is managing the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of power plants. The O&M of the power complex is currently outsourced, while the owner's management team oversees strategic, technical, and operational functions. CPGCL invites applications from high-caliber, energetic, proactive, and result-oriented professionals who aspire to be part of the owner's core management team and are ready to take on challenging and rewarding assignments, on a contract basis for one (01) year, extendable on satisfactory performance and organizational requirements.

CHIEF ENGINEER/GENERAL MANAGER

Age Limit 55 years (Subject to relaxation for suitable candidates)
Chief Engineer/General Manager Site will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer/ COO of the Company regarding fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the senior-most authority, technical, and administrative functions of the power plant or as assigned.
  • Act as the senior-most authority, technical, and administrative head for 24/7 oversight.
  • Monitor plant availability, quality, heat rate, fuel efficiency, and reliability.
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of the outsourced O&M contractor.
  • Review daily/monthly reports, logbooks, and performance dashboards.
  • Lead major outages, plant shutdowns, and ensure resource readiness.
  • Ensure implementation of HSE procedures, NEPRA, NTDC, NPCC, CPPA-G, and grid code standards.
  • Review technical reports, compliance submissions, and accident analyses.
  • Ensure discipline, welfare, and staff motivation at all levels.
  • Establish robust security arrangements for plant, personnel, and assets.
  • Monitor EHS performance and compliance with environmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate with divisional/district security agencies when required.
  • Provide timely reporting to CEO and head office regarding plant operations, risks, and constraints.
  • Participate in meetings with Board Members, Ministry of Energy, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support external/internal audits, legal cases, insurance claims, and commercial verification.
  • Ensure reconciliation, energy billing coordination, and meter reading validation.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master's in Electrical/Mechanical or Power Engineering from HEC-recognized university. Additional certification in Power Plant Management, Contract Administration, or PMP will be preferred. Foreign exposure of similar role in a large-scale power plant will be an added advantage. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale generation plant(s). Familiarity with O&M (GE/SIEMENS), systems, NEPRA, CPPA-G, and grid codes will be an added advantage.

MANAGER/ASST. MANAGER (OPERATIONS)

Manager (Operations) will be reporting to the CE/GM or an advised of the Company regarding fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and supervise O&M contractor during day-to-day operations of the combined cycle units, HRGS, auxiliaries, and BOP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all operating procedures and OEM guidelines.
  • Ensure cost-effective and economical operations of the plant.
  • Coordinate with NPC/NTDC for load dispatch and generation schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to NEPRA Grid Code, frequency, voltage, and synchronization protocols.
  • Supervise and lead the operations team for safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Ensure operating parameters are maintained within safe and efficient limits.
  • Monitor key operational KPIs including heat rate, availability, reliability, startup time, and fuel efficiency.
  • Recommend corrective actions to maintain or improve operational benchmarks.
  • Lead investigations of trips, alarms, and abnormal conditions.
  • Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) and follow-up actions are promptly implemented.
  • Support planning and coordination for plant outages, shutdowns, and start-ups.
  • Ensure proper system handover and safety protocols during maintenance.
  • Ensure safety procedures, lockout tagout (LOTO), and control room discipline.
  • Prepare daily logs, shift reports, and incident summaries for management.
  • Coordinate with O&M contractor to conduct on-the-job training for engineers, operators, and staff.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS/BE in Electrical/Mechanical or Power Engineering from HEC-recognized university. Certification in Power Plant Dispatch, O&M, or CCPP systems preferred. At least 10-12 years of hands-on experience in operations of thermal combined cycle power plants. At least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Familiarity with O&M (GE/SIEMENS), systems, NEPRA, CPPA-G, and grid codes will be an added advantage.

MANAGER/ASST. MANAGER (ELECTRICAL & I&C)

Age Limit 45 years (Subject to relaxation for suitable candidates)
Manager (Electrical & I&C) will be reporting to the CE/GM or an advised of the Company regarding fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise maintenance of generators, switchgear, protection systems, excitation systems, and auxiliary electrical components.
  • Oversee instrumentation systems including DCS, PLCs, analyzers, and transmitters.
  • Ensure all electrical and I&C equipment is maintained as per OEM and O&M guidelines.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team for efficient and safe operations.
  • Lead planning and execution for major outages and annual maintenance.
  • Ensure all electrical and I&C equipment is maintained as per OEM and O&M guidelines.
  • Evaluate performance of O&M contractor in all I&C areas against agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure electrical and I&C systems are maintained with high availability and quality.

MANAGER/ASST. MANAGER (MECHANICAL)

Manager Mechanical will be reporting to the CE/GM Site of the Company regarding fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the reliability and performance of all rotating and static equipment including turbines, HRSGs, BOPs, and cooling systems.
  • Monitor equipment parameters and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with all maintenance procedures and OEM guidelines.
  • Implement and maintain a CMMS/ERP system for effective maintenance and inventory management.
  • Lead mechanical maintenance during planned outages, overhauls, and shutdowns.
  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team for efficient and safe operations.
  • Review and verify maintenance work done by O&M contractor in accordance with SLAs/KPIs.

Admin Assistant will be reporting to the Manager (HR) of the Company regarding fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in office management, memos, and office correspondence.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails.
  • Maintain office files and records.
  • Coordinate with divisional/district security agencies when required.
