SITUATION VACANT
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following vacant technical posts in the Directorate General, Ports & Shipping (DG-P&S) Wing, Karachi and Mercantile Marine Department, Karachi. The appointment shall be made on contract basis as per MP Scale Policy 2020 for a period of three years, which will be extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years on annual basis subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Performance Evaluation Committee:

a) Certificate of Competency as First Class Engineer (Combined or Motor). <br> b) At least three years as Chief Engineer of ships not less than 373 BHP or Two years for Candidates holding Extra-First Class Engineer's Certificate. <br> c) At least three years experience in any of one of the following capacities: <br> i) Engineer and Ship Surveyor (or equivalent post) in any Mercantile Marine Department of a country. <br> d) Preferably at least two years' experience as Examiner of Marine Engineers. <br> OR <br> a) Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ships. <br> b) At least three years in command of ships or Two years for candidates holding Extra Master Certificate / B.Sc (Technology in Maritime Studies). <br> c) At least three years' experience in any one of the following capacities. <br> i) Nautical Surveyor (or equivalent post) in any Mercantile Marine Department of a country. <br> ii) Surveyor in a recognized classification society. <br> d) Preferably at least two years experience as Examiner of Master and Mates. |
