KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POST OF FACT CHECKER
a) Digital Media Monitoring: <br> - Monitor various digital media platforms including social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) for content related to elections, political discourse, and public opinion. <br> - Develop and use tracking mechanisms for viral content and emerging ECP related narratives. <br> - Identify potential misinformation and disinformation. <br> b) Fact Checking and Verification: <br> - Systematically verify claims, statements, and narratives circulating on digital platforms. <br> - Use reliable sources and fact-checking tools to determine the accuracy of information. <br> - Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate complex or specialized information. <br> - Prepare comprehensive reports on findings, including evidence and analysis. <br> c) Reporting and Communication: <br> - Timely report verified information to relevant ECP officials and departments. <br> - Maintain accurate records of all monitored content and fact-checking activities. <br> - Contribute to the development of ECP's anti-misinformation strategies.
