PUNJAB COUNTER NARCOTICS FORCE (CNF)
EXCISE, TAXATION & NARCOTICS CONTROL DEPARTMENT
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Application are invited from suitable / eligible candidates for the following posts in Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) on contract basis, initially for a period of three years (extendable) on lump-sum pay package:

LLB degree or equivalent with minimum 2nd division from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission with following pre-requisites: 5 years practice as an Advocate in High Court Preferably 2 years experience of working with government agencies or law firms. OR 3 years' practice as an Advocate in High Court in case of holding post-graduate degree in law. Preferably 2 years' experience of working with government agencies or law firms. Note: Practical experience is required after prescribed qualification

Terms & Conditions:
- All recruitments shall be made under the Government of Punjab's Contract Appointment Policy, 2004.
- Tests/interviews of candidates shall be held in Lahore.
- The candidates shall undergo MCQs type written test of 100 marks (90 minutes duration). Syllabus is as under:
a) General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies, English, Urdu, Every-day Science, Basic Mathematics and Basic Computer Studies (25%).
b) Act and Laws described as under (75%):
1) Punjab Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 2025
2) Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 1997
3) Qanoon-e-Shahadat Ordinance, 1984
4) Pakistan Penal Code
5) Code of Criminal Procedure
- No further relaxation shall be given in age, education or in any other prescribed criteria.
- Candidates shortlisted for the interview shall be required to submit an affidavit stating that they are not nominated, involved or wanted in any criminal case/FIR. Any candidate found to have submitted a false affidavit shall be declared ineligible for recruitment and legal action shall be initiated against him/her.
- In case a candidate claims that his/her qualification is equivalent to the prescribed qualification, he/she will be required to submit equivalence certificate of his/her foreign/local qualification issued by Higher Education Commission or Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee of concerned department.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible to candidates for any stage of the selection process.
- Candidates must bring original educational certificates and other relevant documents at the time of Interview.
- If, at any stage, a candidate's credentials are found to be fake during verification, the recruitment shall be cancelled and legal action shall be initiated.
- Applicants must attach with the application two recent photographs and photocopies of educational certificates, CNIC, domicile, and experience certificate(s).
- Employees of government and semi-government organizations shall submit their applications through proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments before the closing date.
- A postal order of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable), in favour of Deputy Director (Admin), Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, Lahore, must be attached with the application.
- The department shall have the right to amend or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
- Information regarding the test/interview schedule shall be uploaded on the department's website at least seven days prior to the scheduled date.
- Complete applications in all respects must reach Punjab Counter Narcotics Force Headquarters, 204-A Upper Mall Scheme, Scotch Corner, Lahore, either through post or by hand during office hours, on or before 22 January, 2026. Incomplete applications and those received after the due date shall not be entertained.
