Final Merit List for BMC Quetta Academic Session 2022-23

The history of Bolan Medical College as the centre of medical education in the Balochistan Province is rocky. After the partition, the nation suffered from a shortage of skilled workers, particularly in the medical industry. Condensed medical courses were started in Pakistan as part of the government's decision to quickly close the gap, and several medical schools were set up in the nation as a result. Amin-u-Din Medical School was established in Balochistan as a result in 1952. It operated successfully for seven years before being shut down as a matter of policy when it was determined that this category of doctors was no longer needed. Instead, more medical colleges were created to educate fully competent doctors at the MBBS and higher levels around the nation.

The merit list for admission to Bolan Medical College Quetta is prepared by the BMC Administration and is based on the marks obtained by the applicants in their intermediate examination and the entry test. The merit list is usually displayed on the college's notice board and on the University of Balochistan's official website.

In addition to academic excellence, the college also places a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities and community service. Applicants who have a strong track record in these areas may also receive additional points during the admission process.

The college offers state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive learning environment to its students. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, and provides students with personalized attention and guidance. In addition, the college has a well-equipped library, modern laboratory facilities, and a spacious auditorium.

In conclusion, Bolan Medical College Quetta is a top-notch institution that provides students with a comprehensive education in the field of medicine. The admission process is merit-based, and the college is committed to providing students with the best possible education and training. If you are interested in pursuing a career in medicine, Bolan Medical College Quetta is an excellent choice.

History of Bolan Medical College BMC Quetta:

Prior to now, Balochistani medical students had a difficult time being accepted into the nation's other medical schools. The Baloch people began clamouring for their own medical college when Balochistan was granted the status of a distinct Province in 1970. It was decided in principle to open a medical college in Balochistan at Quetta in March 1971.

In 1972, the Government of Pakistan officially decided to establish the Bolan Medical College (BMC) at Quetta and agreed to manage it as a Federally Funded Project in response to the desire of the people of the Province.

Clinical classes began at Sandeman Provincial Hospital (SPH) in Quetta while the College bought the premises of a paramedical school to house its basic classes while a new, fully functional hospital and college complex was being built. The hospital has moved into the adjacent BMCH hospital building, while the BMC college has moved into the college's main building. SPH, BMCH, Fatima Jinnah Hospital, and Helper's Eye Hospital are now the attached hospitals. The most up-to-date technology is employed in the basic Departments' laboratories, while a hostel is housed in the old structure. BDS classes began in 1985, and the Bolan Dental Section of the BMC is currently operating under the direction of Principal BMC.

BMC has already graduated forty-four (44) batches of students totaling 7411 (roughly). This institution has produced 563 BDS doctors, and the 32nd group is about to graduate. Balochistani doctors are receiving postgraduate education and training from BMC faculty.

Since 1979, the Principal of BMC has served as Honorary Director of a section of the Pakistan Medical Research Council dedicated to keeping teachers' expertise current.
