Applications for scholarships and admission are invited from intelligent male and female students of government schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Applications are invited from intelligent male and female students belonging to settled areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and the Newly Merged Districts, who have studied or are studying in government schools only from class 1 to class 6, or who have passed class 6. Additionally, male and female students from community schools who can pass class 6 from any school after class 5 can also apply, but their verification will be done by the Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation. Applications are required for admission to the following educational institutions. These male and female students will be given admission in class 8 on the basis of district merit. Under this program, the educational expenses of admitted male and female students up to class 12 will be borne by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The selection of suitable candidates for admission will be made through an entry test conducted under the supervision of ETEA in Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad, Kohat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan. The duration of the test will be one and a half hours. The entry test will be taken from the subjects of English, Mathematics, General Science, Urdu, and Islamiat (Ethics for non-Muslim candidates) at the class 7 level from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board syllabus.

However, if no candidate from a district is successful on the final seats, and if the number of remaining seats is 25% or more of the total seats, then these seats will be redistributed equally among the districts, provided there are eligible candidates in that district or districts. (3) Hostel facilities are available only in institutions reserved for female students: Agriculture University Public School & College (Girls) Peshawar, Excelsior College Swat for Girls, Peshawar Public School Peshawar (for Girls), Mufti Mehmood School Dera Ismail Khan, and Fazal-e-Haq College Mardan.
