SITUATIONS VACANT
The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination intends to hire following positions in the project Formulation of National Urban Strategy and Guidelines to Reduce the Impacts of Urban Flooding, Droughts, Climate Disasters, and National Guidelines for Adaptation Planning for Pakistan on contract basis for a period of 03 years (extendable) from a reputed National Project Management Unit (NPMU) at Islamabad. The project will provide a market based salary package per government's revised emolument against each post.

i. MSc or BS (4 years) of education in Urban & Regional Planning, City & Regional Planning or Environmental Planning/Management or relevant social sciences degree from HEC recognized institution (local or foreign) will be given preference.<br>ii. 15 years of post-qualification experience required. Working with government, UN System, International funding agencies or experience of similar nature will be given preference.<br>iii. Relevant experience of conducting similar assignments (s) that impact on climate change adaptation/mitigation in urban areas.<br>iv. Relevant experience of conducting similar assignment(s) that impact on human settlements.<br>v. Demonstrated experience of conducting similar assignment(s) that impact on the environment.<br>vi. Demonstrated experience of leading similar projects.<br>vii. Demonstrated experience of managing similar projects.<br>viii. Demonstrated experience of supervising similar projects.<br>ix. Demonstrated experience of working with stakeholders.<br>x. Excellent communication and writing skills in English language. |

MSc/BS and research of information on climate change adaptation/mitigation, preparation of substantive briefs on possible areas of collaboration and interventions, including data collection and analysis, and developing and implementing action plans.<br>ii. 10 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field preferably in government/intergovernmental organizations/international NGOs.<br>iii. Proficiency in GIS software and remote sensing applications.<br>iv. Experience in using GIS and modelling relevant data, geological features, socio-economic and hydrology data would be a plus, integration of GIS technologies with water quality monitoring data, waste management etc.<br>v. Experience in developing the projection of maps after analysis of climate-related data.<br>vi. Strong writing and speaking skills in English & Urdu Languages. |

Implementation of Project Financial and Admin related policies.<br>iv. Maintain complete financial records and accounts, prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Review Meetings presentations for management and donors, prepare financial reports as required by the project.<br>v. Maintain project petty cash records and ensure entries in petty cash register, maintain proper ledger record of project expenses.<br>vi. Provide support to the Project Manager to prepare tender documents, documents, prepare bids tabulation and recommendation documents, prepare project agreements, prepare project contracts, prepare project payment requests.<br>vii. Manage administrative issues relating to project including but not limited to processing of salaries, maintenance of office environment, management of office assets.<br>viii. Inventory management of both expendable and non-expendable project items.<br>ix. Strong writing and speaking skills in English & Urdu Languages. |

Efficiently manage and implement the E-Governance component of the project, providing high-quality advisory services and technical support to project teams, partners, and stakeholders on all aspects of E-Governance planning, development planning and monitoring.<br>iv. Expertise with various IT tools, software, including network policies such as password management and others.<br>v. Manage all hardware and software issues of the Local Area Network (LAN).<br>vi. Provide support to the project team for all IT related issues as and when required.<br>vii. Prepare and maintain web/mobile-based applications for water quality monitoring and reporting.<br>viii. Strong writing and speaking skills in English language and Urdu is a plus.<br>ix. Traditional/smartphone exchange, email, traffic, multimedia, and other IT-related equipment.<br>x.
