CHAIRPERSON
Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, Pakistan
HEC is responsible for formulating higher education policy, quality assurance to meet international standards, providing accreditation of academic degrees, the development of new institutions and the uplift of existing institutions in Pakistan.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is seeking a distinguished person of international eminence with extensive experience in the field of Higher Education. The candidate must be well-versed in academics, research, administration/management, policy formulation, have experience of teaching at a prestigious University(ies) and have proven leadership qualities. The candidate must be a self-driven, committed and highly professional person to ensure achievement of the goals set by the Government for Higher Education.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
The Chairperson HEC shall be appointed by the Prime Minister for a period of 02 years, extendable for one more similar term as provided under law and will be entitled to draw "Chairperson HEC Salary Package" as approved by the controlling authority.
