The Planning Commission is seeking dynamic professionals to fill key position in Member (Population). Be part of a team driving national development and economic transformation.
MEMBER (POPULATION)
QUALIFICATIONS, ELIGIBILITY AND SHORTLISTING CRITERIA
- Ph.D in Demography/Population Studies/Public Policy/Public Health/Development Studies/Economics/Statistics with 14 years professional experience including 5-8 years of managerial/administrative experience at policy making level in Government and, international organizations or development institutions.
- OR
- Master's degree in the above fields with 18 years professional experience including 5-8 years of managerial/administrative experience at policy making level in Government and, international organizations or development institutions.
TERMS OF REFERENCE (TORS)/JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide strategic oversight on population policy, demographic research, and integration of population dynamics with economic planning.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of National Health Services, Population Welfare Departments, Bureau of Statistics, and development partners.
- Lead the development of a unified National Population Strategy aligned with Vision 2025/2035 and SDGs & 13th 5 Years Plan.
- Guide population modelling, demographic projections, and impact assessments for federal development programs.
- Any other task assigned by the Minister/DCPC and Secretary Planning.
- Any other assignment assigned by the Prime Minister, Minister for Planning, DCPC, and Secretary PD&SI.
- Tenure: Initially for a period of two (02) years, further extendable on annual (yearly) basis upto a maximum of four (04) years subject to satisfactory performance.
PAY PACKAGE: SPPS-1 SCALE
