Position Overview

Role: Team Lead – WAN Security (Grade: OG-I / AVP).
Reporting To: Unit Head – WAN Projects.
Location: Karachi, Pakistan. [1]

Eligibility Criteria

Category	Requirements
Education	Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. A Master's degree and relevant professional certifications are preferred.
Experience	Minimum 4 years in IT Networking (switching, firewall, and/or routers), with at least 3 years specifically in Network WAN and/or Network Security.
Key Skills	Expertise in MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, hybrid WAN, network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), Zero Trust architecture, and tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Implementation & Management: Responsible for optimizing and managing WANs, including secure architectures like MPLS and SD-WAN.
Technical Operations: Configure and install network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and lead network segmentation strategies using VLANs and VRFs.
Monitoring & Performance: Maximize network performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting outages, and reporting operational status.
Collaboration: Work with ISPs and vendors for WAN circuit provisioning and SLA compliance.
Security & Maintenance: Address vulnerabilities identified by audits, maintain regular backups of network devices, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

Employment Details

Type: Three-year contractual basis, renewable at the discretion of management.
