VACANCY

APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY PROJECT DIRECTOR (PPS-8)

The Government of Balochistan, School Education Department invites applications from dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented professionals for appointment as Deputy Project Director (PPS-8) on a contract basis for the PMU for the project "Public Model High School Initiative for all Districts in Balochistan".

Position: Deputy Project Director (PPS-8)

Qualification & Registration:
- Minimum sixteen (16) years of Education with specialization in BS/BE in Engineering/or Master in Economics, Business/Public Administration (MBA/MPA), Project Management (MPM), Public Health (MPH), Public Policy (MPP) from HEC recognized institutions.
- Candidates with professional certification will be given additional preference.

Experience:
- Minimum Ten (10) years of professional experience in project management.
- Must have intermediate or advance knowledge of project management fundamentals, particularly the government of Pakistan's project planning and management processes and procedures.
- Previous work experience in Balochistan will be an added advantage.

Age limit: Minimum 35 years and Maximum 62 years on the closing date of application.

Tenure of Contract: Initially for two (02) years, extendable on a yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance and requirement of the project on the recommendation of the Sponsoring Department.

Salary Package: As per PPS-8, in accordance with Finance Division (Regulation Wing) letter No. F-4(9)R-14/2008 dated 18th April, 2022 and Project Director's Policy Notification No. P&D-JCE(Production)-1/2025/003 dated 31 December 2025 issued by GoB, P&D Department.

Terms of Package (ToRs): The Deputy Project Director shall ensure effective monitoring to prevent time and cost overruns, establish procedures for progress review, identify risks with mitigation plans, and submit prescribed reports with actionable recommendations. He/she will work harmoniously with stakeholders, maintain custody of project documents, prepare PC-I to IV reports, and provide timely information on prescribed proformas. The DPD will be accountable for all administrative, functional, and financial decisions, supervise project activities, resolve day-to-day issues within delegated powers, and seek assistance from relevant authorities when required.
