Establishment of Project Director, Sindh Safe Cities Project, Karachi
The Government of Sindh requires applications from experienced and qualified professionals for the post of Project Director to lead the Sindh Safe Cities Project, Karachi. This is a contract-based position for two (2) years, which may be extended based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Qualification
The suitable candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree (minimum 16 years of education) from a university recognized by HEC or an international institution in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Law, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Social Security, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
(i) To ensure timely completion of all phases and deliverables of the Karachi Safe Cities Project in accordance with the project plan and specifications.
(ii) To work in close coordination with all stakeholders and clients as a representative of the contracting agency.
(iii) To ensure that the project is aligned with administrative approvals, providing technical leadership, and managing the project portfolio in a timely manner. To supervise the Safe City Project team and monitor the work of institutions/companies without any delay.
(iv) To prepare and submit progress reports and financial reports.
(v) To prepare and submit PC-1 and PC-2, and defend them before the relevant forum with the permission of the Government of Sindh.
(vi) To manage procurement, facilitate negotiations between stakeholders, and ensure compliance with government procurement policies and frameworks. To manage legal and quality assurance.
(vii) To mitigate and manage risks associated with implementation and legal matters. This position requires constant monitoring to maintain good relations, timely decision-making, and to achieve the project's objectives in a timely manner. The Project Director will be authorized to seek approval from the Home Department if there is any delay or procurement issue.
(viii) To maintain contact and relationships with stakeholders.
(ix) To prepare deliverables and submission reports.
(x) To ensure compliance with government laws, Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) rules, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules, and other related laws.
