CAREER OPPORTUNITY ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER (INTERNAL AUDIT)

We are currently seeking dynamic and result-oriented professionals to join the management cadre for one of our prestigious client M/s State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.
The position is offered on a Two (02) years contract, extendable upon satisfactory performance. Successful candidates will be based in Karachi, working in a high-impact environment that values performance, integrity, and innovation.
Job Purpose
To maximize audit value by focusing limited resources on the most significant risks an organization faces, ensuring controls are effective, providing assurance to leadership, and delivering insights to help achieve strategic objectives, rather than just checking compliance. It involves identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and testing high-risk areas like financial, operational, and compliance risks, and then reporting on control effectiveness and recommending improvements to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting & Auditing Standards.
- Strong knowledge of GRC (Governance, Risk & Control).
- Knowledge of economic environment, financial systems, core banking & insurance industry etc.
- Knowledge to review and verify the accuracy of financial records to ensure that corporation is complying with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal corporate laws and SECP rules.
- Understanding of applicable IFRS.
- Knowledge of Company Act, 2017 & Insurance Ordinance, 2000.
- Ability to design and implement the procedures and controls by using audit tools and data analytic tools.
- Knowledge of IS Audits and risk based audit process.
- Excellent research and analytical skills combined with good judgment and effective decision-making capability.
- Skilled communicators with strong interpersonal abilities at all levels and effective presentation skills.
- Flexible-multi tasking: This is a dynamic role requiring the ability to work to tight deadlines with competing priorities.
Qualification & Experience
- Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with preferably upto two years post qualification experience.
- OR
- FCMA/FCCA with at least 07 years post qualification experience.
- A good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office database.
Age
- The candidate should preferably be not more than 45 years of age.
