Sehri or Suhoor is an early meal before the dawning of a new day during Ramadan. However, before indulging in the endeavours Muslims recite the Sehri Dua, an emotional prayer which consists of profound meaning. This call to action surpasses physical nourishment as a spiritual reinforcement that determines we step into the day with.

At each voicing of "Nawaytu an asuma ghadan min shahri Ramaḍāna," the obedient announce their intention to fast, attuned to the sacred aim of Ramadan. Their request, “Allāhumma aʿinnī ʿalā ṣiyāmihi waqiyāmihi,” hopes for strength and guidance from Allah (SWT) always. They beg Him to enable them not to hunger and thirst but also to offer self-discipline at its peak and heightened prayer.
