Applications are invited from eligible candidates through Education Testing Council (ETC/HEC) for appointment on a contract basis for a period of one year for four (04) vacant posts of Civil Judge / Judicial Magistrate (BPS-18) in the Gilgit-Baltistan Judiciary.

1. Eligibility / Experience

(i) The candidate must possess a law degree from any recognized university that entitles them to practice law, or be a member of a Bar Association or Faculty of Advocates in Pakistan or Scotland.
(ii) The candidate must have at least two years of practical experience in the field of law as a lawyer/advocate after enrollment. (Documents of enrollment and practical experience will be required as proof).

For experience purposes, "practical work in the field of law" also includes government services such as District Attorney, Government Pleader, Public Prosecutor, Additional District Public Prosecutor, Assistant Public Prosecutor, or Assistant Registrar holding a law degree.

2. Age Limit and Relaxation:

(i) Minimum age: 22 years. Maximum age: 35 years.
Note: If a candidate has served in any federal or Gilgit-Baltistan government or its institution for a period of less than five (05) years, the upper age limit for them will be 37 years.
(ii) Under no circumstances will relaxation in the upper age limit be granted.

3. Application Procedure for Eligibility Registration:

Eligible candidates can apply online by registering on http://etc.hec.gov.pk within 20 days after the publication of this advertisement.

1. It is mandatory to click "SUBMIT" to complete the registration process.
2. It is mandatory to complete the online application before the last date of registration.
3. During online registration, it is necessary to provide all information correctly and completely. Use only the mobile number that is registered with your original SIM card.
4. Candidates are advised to ensure they meet all conditions before participating in the eligibility test.
5. If any difficulty arises during online registration, please seek guidance from http://onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or HEC regional offices.
6. Only submitted (SUBMITTED) applications will be considered. Saved (SAVE) or incomplete (INCOMPLETE) applications will not be accepted.
7. A fee of Rs. 5000/- must be deposited with the generated consumer number through Link/1 Bill invoice payment services.
8. After submitting the fee through ETC/1 Link on the Bill Board, click "Verify Online Payment".
9. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
10. Candidates will be informed about the date, time, and venue of the examination via email/SMS. It is mandatory to provide a valid email and mobile number when filling out the application form. SMS will not be sent to mobile numbers that have been ported from one network to another.
11. Candidates should complete the web registration before the closing date.
