Position in Insurance Sector
National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is a large public sector organization and a key player in the General Insurance sector. We are seeking to induct qualified and dynamic professionals for the following position:
Head of Information Technology | Age: Maximum 50 Years | (1 Vacancy)
The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the IT function, overseeing all technology infrastructure, applications, and ensuring the alignment of IT with the organization's strategic goals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology from HEC recognized university/institute or foreign university/institute.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in IT systems, infrastructure, and leadership, including at least 05 years in a senior management position.
- Proven expertise in cloud computing, Oracle 19c, enterprise applications, and infrastructure planning.
- Hands-on experience in insurance sector technologies, especially IGIS ERP, will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and data security.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), CISSP, CCNP, PMP, or equivalent will be preferred.
- The candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the organization's overall IT strategy and daily operations.
- Design and implement a high-availability roadmap for IT infrastructure and cloud services.
- Oversee all cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and scalability.
- Manage and support all enterprise applications, including the core insurance ERP (IGIS), ensuring reliability, integration, and optimization across departments.
- Supervise the deployment, configuration, and administration of Oracle 19c databases in a cloud environment.
- Plan, configure, and maintain enterprise firewalls and managed network switches, and virtualized environments (VMs) ensuring network security and operational efficiency.
- Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements to ensure IT operations meet industry and government standards.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing SIEM and SOAR platforms.
- Evaluate user requirements and growth opportunities; perform needs analysis, benchmarking, and high-level solution design.
- Develop, negotiate, and review IT service contracts and ensure vendor compliance.
- Prepare and oversee plans for IT investment and revenue forecasting in line with business needs.
- Ensure change management processes are effectively implemented across IT systems and operations.
- Set team goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide leadership development.
- Execute special projects or assignments as directed by executive management.
- Establish, implement, and review IT policies, cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies and process improvements.
Mode of Employment:
- This is purely a contractual position with an open-ended contract; the services will be governed by the terms and conditions of the contract.
- The selected candidate will be paid a competitive market-based compensation package backed by attractive salary, to be mutually decided in interview commensurate with relevant verifiable experience of the candidate.
