Contract-Based Opportunities
The Government of Balochistan Planning & Development Department invites applications from competent individuals for project position(s) purely on a temporary basis for two (02) years (could be terminated on one-month notice) in the Project Management Unit (PMU) of Revamping Projects of SPH & BMC based in Quetta. Applicants must be professionally sound and should possess the requisite qualification, relevant work experience, skills, and expertise as under:
Job Positions & Requirements
1. Site Engineer (PPS-07) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree (16 Years) in Civil Engineering.
- Experience:
- 08 years of site supervision experience (specifically in building).
- Strong knowledge of drawings, BOQs, and construction standards.
- Quality assurance, inspection, measurement, billing verification, and documentation skills.
- Coordination with contractors and reporting.
2. Engineer - Bio Medical (PPS-07) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree (16 Years) in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Engineering or other relevant healthcare engineering field.
- Experience:
- 03–05 years of experience in healthcare/hospital projects.
- Expertise in biomedical equipment installation, calibration, and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and compliance knowledge.
- Safety standards, documentation, vendor coordination, and reporting skills.
3. Development Coordinator (PPS-07) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Master's Degree / 16 Years Education in MBA Administration, MA/MSc & BS Honors.
- Experience:
- 07 Years of post-qualification experience in coordination & development schemes.
- Knowledge of BPPRA Rules 2014, MS Office, Reporting, & Data Analysis.
4. Quantity Surveyor (PPS-07) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree (16 Years) in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or relevant field.
- Experience:
- 08 years of relevant experience (healthcare or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred).
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, financial planning, analytical, and financial management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, estimation tools, reporting, and coordination skills.
5. Computer Operator / PA / Data Control Officer (PPS-06) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree (14–16 Years) in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering / Health Informatics or relevant field.
- Experience:
- 05 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong typing speed and data management skills.
- Record keeping, documentation skills, and ability to handle confidential information.
6. Site Supervisor (PPS-05) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in site supervision.
- Knowledge of construction practices and safety standards.
- Ability to manage labor, site activities, and read technical drawings.
- Strong reporting and coordination skills.
7. Junior Clerk (PPS-04) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Intermediate / Bachelor's in ICS Business, IT, CS, or relevant field.
- Experience:
- 03 years of clerical experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, record keeping, and data entry skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
8. Sweeper (PPS-01) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Literate preferred.
- Experience: Cleaning and hygiene maintenance, reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions.
9. Naib Qasid (PPS-01) – 01 Post
- Qualification: Literate preferred.
- Experience: Office support, document handling, punctuality, discipline, and ability to perform errands efficiently.
Terms & Conditions / Application Process
- Contract Duration: Initially for a period of two (02) years, subject to project continuity and performance.
- Selection Basis: Strictly on merit and in a transparent manner.
- Eligibility: Applicants must have a Domicile / Local certificate of Balochistan Province.
