PROMOTION OF
DENTAL SURGEON AS SENIOR REGISTRARS ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY (BS-18)
Applications are invited from the Doctors who are holding the substantive position of Dental Surgeon (BS-17) currently serving under the administrative control of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department and Health & population Department, Government of the Punjab having requisite eligibility criteria for Promotion against the seats reserved for promotion quota as Senior Registrar Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (BS-18), as specified by service rules notification no: SOR-III(S&GAD)1-9/2016 dated 06.05.2017. Promotion criteria is as under:-
REQUIREMENTS FOR PROMOTION AS SENIOR REGISTRAR ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY (BS-18)

Length of Regular Service as Dental Surgeon (BS-17)
|
5-Years as per Punjab Civil Servants (Minimum Length of Service)
|

Qualification & Experience
|
BDS, FCPS, MDS or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission and possesses a valid registration from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

CANDIDATES MAY NOTE THAT:
- Promotion shall strictly be carried out according to merit / notified seniority list of Dental Surgeons (BS-17) who holds FCPS/MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery). Seniority lists are available on the website of SHC & ME Department and may be checked at. In case the name of a Dental Surgeon is not available in the notified seniority list or the same has been issued separately, the same may immediately be brought into the notice of Section Officer (Dental Cadre), Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, being focal person concerned along with documentary evidence.
- Applications carrying wrong / old seniority numbers shall not be entertained.
- The seniority among Dental Surgeons shall be determined from the date of their joining the services.
- PERs are mandatory for promotion as Senior Registrar (BS-18). Applicants are, therefore, advised to ensure that their PER record is complete and up to date.
- The candidates are required to apply ONLINE only through w.e.f 08th September, 2025 to 22nd September, 2025. Hard copy of the filled online form must reach the address of the following Focal Person: Section Officer (Dental Cadre), Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department (Contact No. 042-99204169).
- SHC & ME Department plans against the above mentioned specialties and would require a month's time when candidature of eligible candidates (who may have furnished their applications) shall be considered for promotion.
