ADVERTISEMENT NO. 01/2026 (FOR TEACHING POSITIONS)
University of Okara was established under Government of the Punjab Act, 2016 (XIII of 2016). Currently, there are more than 16,000 students and more than 400 faculty/staff members. University of Okara is one of the most progressive and dynamic institutions of higher learning. It is situated on 204 acres of land sandwiched between Multan Road and Canal Lower Bari Doab at Renala Khurd, District Okara. In order to expand its teaching and research operations the University is seeking for highly qualified and exceptionally motivated professionals who could enrich and strengthen academic life of the campus. Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for the following teaching positions. Note:
- OR equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission.
- An applicant having third division in academic career shall not be eligible however, such applicant having the degree of Ph.D. in the relevant field and has not more than one third division in the entire academic career shall be eligible for the post.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS AND TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- Interested candidates may download Application Form from the University website i.e..
- Candidates must submit their applications complete in all respect and along with original bank draft/deposit slip till 20-02-2026.
- Applicants are advised to read all instructions/term and conditions of the advertisement as well as "Important Instructions to candidates" given on University of Okara website i.e.. carefully in order to submit their applications be completed in all respects. The onus of responsibility of correctness of the data given in the Application Form will rest solely on the candidates.
- The candidates already in the Government/Semi-Government services or autonomous bodies shall be required to send their applications through proper channel and bring "No Objection Certificate" from their relevant Competent Authority.
- Candidates shall submit separate applications in separate envelopes for each post and quota applied for. The name of the post and the relevant quota (i.e., Open Merit or any applicable reserved quota, as per Government rules) shall be clearly and legibly endorsed on the top right hand corner of each envelope.
- In case screening test is held for a post, it will be mandatory for all eligible candidates to appear, whether applying on merit or against any of the quotas.
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
- It is mandatory to deposit Rs. 4000/- as application Processing Fee (for BPS-19 or equivalent posts) and Rs. 3000/- as application Processing Fee (for BPS-18 posts), for each application separately. This requisite fee must be paid through bank draft (NTN No. 9021534-6) in favor of "Treasurer University of Okara, Renala Khurd or deposit in HBL (Treasurer Payment A/C No. #1527913908901) of University of Okara and must be attach original bank draft/deposit slip with the application form, otherwise the application cannot be considered for processing under the rules.
- Candidates are required to send their applications in hard in a prescribed manner format available on University website and it must be received in the Registrar Office University of Okara on or before the closing date i.e. 20-02-2026 in working hours. In case of any failure, no application shall be entertained by the University under the rules.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in Test/Interview.
- Age relaxation shall be admissible as per policy of the Government.
- All applicable quotas will be observed as per the Government rules.
- The University reserves the right to withdraw any post or its all advertisement or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason, which will not be challengeable in any court of law.
- The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts as per requirement and availability of budget.
- The University reserves the right to adopt and enforce the rules governing the tenure of appointments and the relevant service rules, as amended by the Government from time to time.
INTERVIEW & CALL UP LETTER
- Candidates Call-up-letters and information about Date, Time and Venue of Test/Interview will be conveyed to the short-listed candidates only through registered post/Email.
- The University is not responsible, if the Call-up-letter and the Test or Interview Schedule is ignored by the candidates or letters are delayed or not received due to any lapse of postal services.
