Introduction to Military College Sui

Military College Sui (MCS) is a military boarding school for boys in grades 8-12 located in Sui, Balochistan, Pakistan. It was established in 2011 by Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani. The college is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) and offers the Intermediate/A-Level curriculum.

The College functions under the auspices of HRD Directorate / IGT&E Branch, GHQ. The College is headed by a Serving Brigadier (the Commandant). He is assisted by a Colonel (Deputy Commandant / Chief Instructor) to run the affairs of the College. A team of highly qualified and dedicated officers is available on the faculty of the College to manage the academic and administrative affairs. The cadets are placed in various houses. Each Cadet House is supervised by a Housemaster and assisted by a team of officers to look after the affairs of the cadets.

Much like its esteemed counterparts, the Military College Sui draws inspiration from the illustrious lineage of military education institutions in Pakistan, including the revered Military College of Signals, Military College Murree, and Military College Jhelum. These institutions have collectively contributed to shaping generations of leaders and fostering a spirit of patriotism and selfless service.

MCS aims to provide quality education and holistic development to its cadets, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the 21st century. The college offers a rigorous academic program that includes a wide range of subjects, including science, mathematics, English, Urdu, Pashto, social studies, and physical education. In addition to academics, cadets also participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, music, and drama.

Admission in Military College Sui:

Induction is carried out once a year as follows: -

  1. 8th  Class and 1st Year: Students are Inducted on the basis of quota decided by GHQ. Seats are offered to the youth of Balochistan, Pakistan Army personnel and civilian candidates on open merit.
  2. Number of Seats Available: The induction is open in 8 th Class only. Number of seats available for each class is 90. The admission in 1st Year Class is subject to the availability of seats.

Eligibility for admission in Military College Sui:

  • 8 th Class
  1. Candidate should be a student of Class 7 th or 8 th .
  2. Candidate should be between 12 and 14 years of age on 1st April in the year of admission. (Waiver of maximum one year is granted to the candidates of Balochistan only).
  3. Candidate must be medically fit.
  • Intermediate (1st Year)
  1. Candidate should be between 15 to 17years of age on 1st July of admission year. (Waiver of maximum one year may be granted to the candidates of Balochistan only).
  2. Candidate should have passed 10th Class on joining the College.
  3. Candidate must be medically fit

 

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Following procedure will be adopted for submission of applications: -

  1. Applications for admission must be submitted on the prescribed admission form attached to the prospectus.
  2. Each application for admission must be accompanied by a Crossed Postal Order/ Bank Draft drawn on Habib Bank Limited PPL Branch for the amount mentioned in the Admission Form as registration fee in favour of COMMANDANT MILITARY COLLEGE SUI. Registration fee is non-refundable.
  3. Entries in the application form must be filled with correct information. All entries will be verified. Any false information revealed at a later stage during the candidate’s stay at the College will result in disciplinary action/ withdrawal, along with a fine of the payment of training charges incurred during the period of stay.
  4. The application form, duly filled in, should be sent directly to the ‘Commandant Military College Sui’ clearly marked with red ink on the top right corner of the envelope “Admission for class 8th or 1st year” (which ever is applicable).
  5. The application form must be accompanied by four self-addressed envelopes of size 4”x9” duly affixed with appropriate stamp of Pakistan Post.
  6. Last date for the submission of application is advertised through newspapers.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The selection is based on the performance/ grading of a candidate in the following: -

  1. Written Test
  2. Intelligence Test
  3. Interview
  4. Medical Examination at CMH/ MH  

Note: For candidates appearing for admission in Intermediate (1styear), 60%weightageis given to the marks in SSC (Part 1) Board examination.

 

Syllabus for written test Military College Sui:

The test will be conducted from the subjects/ syllabus mentioned below: -

  1. 8th Class

Written test for Class 8th is given from Punjab Text Book Board /BBISE Quetta’s syllabus of Class 7 th in the following subjects: -

  1. English (100 marks)
  2. Mathematics and General Science (80 + 20 marks)
  3. Urdu and Islamiyat (Pakistan Studies for non-Muslims) (75 + 25 marks)

b. Intermediate (1stYear)

 Written test for 1st Year is given from Punjab Text Book Board /BBISE Quetta Balochistan’s syllabus of Classes 9th & 10th,(Distribution of Questions: 70% from SSC-II and 30% from SSC-I) in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

 

Final Selection

A candidate’s final selection is made on the basis of overall merit achieved by him in Written Test, Intelligence Test and Interview. In case of Intermediate (1st Year), Matric result (SSC-1) is also given due weightage.

 

Fee Structure of Military College Sui:

At MCSB, boarding, lodging and messing of the cadets are funded by Pakistan Army. However, to add quality of life at MCSB, a low scale fee structure is observed. Details are given as under:-
