Purpose of the Role The organization is implementing a social cohesion project under one stop shop (Urban Cohesion Hub) with protection, education, and livelihood as the main components of the project.
The District Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and policy guidance to the project team in Chaman.
This role ensures the alignment of project activities with overarching objectives, fosters interoffice collaboration with the Quetta office, and drives impactful project implementation through comprehensive planning, monitoring, and reporting.
The District Coordinator will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the Chaman community to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategic Guidance: Lead the Chaman-based project team, ensuring all efforts are aligned with project goals and organizational standards.
Planning and Resource Allocation: Develop and oversee the execution of project plans, budgets, and timelines to maximize impact and resource efficiency.
Operational Monitoring: Conduct routine field visits and office assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and address operational challenges proactively.
Comprehensive Reporting: Compile and submit detailed progress, analytical, and assessment reports, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain productive relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations, facilitating support for project initiatives.
Representation and Advocacy: Act as a representative of the organization, effectively communicating project impact and fostering community and stakeholder engagement across various platforms.
Capacity Building: Design and conduct capacity-building sessions for the team, enhancing skills and strengthening project delivery capabilities.
Guest Facilitation and Engagement: Coordinate and facilitate visits from national and international delegations, ensuring professional presentation and engagement.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Support and participate in monitoring and evaluation activities to gauge project impact, identify areas for improvement, and ensure data-driven decision-making.
Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all project activities and documentation for seamless tracking and reporting. Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Master's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with proven success in leadership roles within development or nonprofit projects. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed project and operational plans. Expertise in preparing compliance reports and managing documentation to meet donor requirements. Experience in team mentorship, performance appraisals, and capacity-building initiatives.
Skills: Exceptional communication, reporting, and presentation skills. Proficient in English, with advanced skills in developing analytical reports and presentations. Must be good at Pushto-speaking. Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
Ability to coordinate and streamline project delivery across field and headquarters levels.
Expertise in relationship-building with stakeholders including government and international agencies.
