Associate Professor of Mass Communication (BS-20) Age: 30-50 Regular/TTS/Contract

Ph.D. in Mass Communication or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC). Ten years teaching or research experience in an HEC recognized institute or university recognized by HEC or national/international professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Five years' post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute or university recognized by HEC. Publications: Ten research publications in the journals recognized by Higher Education Commission, out of which four publications must be within last five years.

Assistant Professor of Agricultural & Allied Discipline (Food Sciences and Technology) (BS-19) Age: 25-45 Regular/TTS/Contract

Ph.D. in Agricultural and Allied Disciplines or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission.

Assistant Professor of Botany (BS-19) Age: 25-45 Regular/TTS/Contract

Ph.D. in Botany or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission.

4.

Assistant Professor of Management Sciences (BS-19) Age: 25-45 Regular/TTS/Contract

Ph.D. in Management Sciences, or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission.

5.

Lecturer in Pak Studies (BS-18) Age: 21-35 Regular/Contract

MS or M.Phil. (first division) in Pak Studies or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission. Note: An applicant having third division in academic career shall not be eligible; however, applicant having the degree of Ph.D. in the relevant field and has more than one third division in the entire academic career shall be eligible.

Lecturer in Agricultural & Allied Discipline (Food Sciences and Technology) (BS-18) Age: 21-35 Regular/Contract

(first division) or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission and eight years' experience in the relevant field from a public or private institute/university recognized by Higher Education Commission or public sector organization; or b) Master's degree (second division) or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission and ten years' experience in the relevant field from a public or private institute/university recognized by Higher Education Commission or public sector organization.

Additional Treasurer (BS-19) Age: 35-50 Regular/Contract

a) MS or M.Phil. (first division) in Finance or Commerce or Accounting or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission and eight years' post qualification experience; or b) MBA in Finance or M.Com. or ACCA or ACMA (second division) or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission and ten years' post qualification experience in the relevant field.

Deputy Controller of Examinations (BS-18) Age: 25-45 Regular/Contract

a) MS or M.Phil. (second division) or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission and three years' post qualification teaching or administrative experience from a public or private institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission or public sector organization; or b) Master's degree or BS (second division) or equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission and five years' post qualification teaching or administrative experience from a public or private institute or university recognized by Higher Education Commission or public sector organization.

Imam (BS-12) Age: 21-40 Regular/Contract

Master's degree or BS (second division) in Islamic Studies with Sanad Dars-e-Nizami or equivalent.

Khadim Masjid (BS-01) Age: 18-25 Regular/Contract

Literate.

"Those who have already applied for the post of Deputy Controller of Examinations (BS-18) vide advertisement No. 01/2024, do not need to apply again, their already submitted application will be considered".

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS AND TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Interested candidates may download Application Form from the University website i.e. www.uookara.edu.pk.
  2. Candidates must submit their applications complete in all respects and along with original bank deposit slip of Rs. 2000/- for BS-20 or equivalent posts and Rs. 1000/- for BS-19 and below posts, on or before the closing date 30-04-2026 in the office of the Registrar, University of Okara.
  3. Applicants are advised to read all instructions and terms and conditions of the advertisement as well as "Important Instructions to candidates" given on the University of Okara website carefully in order to submit their applications complete in all respects. The onus of responsibility of correctness of the data given in the Application Form will rest solely on the candidate.
  4. The candidates already in the Government/Semi Government services or autonomous bodies shall apply through proper channel and bring No Objection Certificates from their relevant Authority.
  5. Candidates shall submit separate applications in separate envelopes for each post and quota applied for. The name of the post and the relevant quota i.e. Open Merit or any applicable reserved quota, as per applicability/rules, shall be clearly and legibly endorsed on the top right-hand corner of each envelope.
  6. Only eligible candidates will be called for test/interview. If a test is held for a post, it will be mandatory for all eligible candidates to appear, whether applying on merit or against any of the quotas.
  7. Short-listed candidates will be called for interview only.
  8. It is mandatory to deposit Rs. 2000/- as application processing fee for all eligible candidates for BS-20 or equivalent posts and Rs. 1000/- as application processing fee for BS-19 and below posts for each application separately. This needs to be deposited in the University of Okara Fund Account No. 01279010036901, HBL, University of Okara, Renala Khurd or deposit in any HBL branch in Pakistan in favour of "University of Okara".
  9. Candidates applying under any quota (e.g. Disable, Minority, Women, etc.) must mention it clearly in the application form, otherwise the application will be considered for processing under the Open Merit category only.
  10. Incomplete applications or applications received after the closing date will not be entertained.
  11. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in Test/Interview.
  12. All applicable quotas will be observed as per the Government Rules if applicable under the law.
  13. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions as per its requirement and availability of budget.
  14. The University reserves the right to apply and enforce the rules governing the nature of appointments and the relevant service rules, as amended by the Government from time to time.

INTERVIEW & CALL-UP LETTERS
The University will issue Call-up Letters/emails about date and venue of Test/Interview well in time. The University is not responsible, if call letters/emails about the Test or Interview schedule is not received by the candidates or letters are delayed or not received due to any type of postal services.
