Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Ayub Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad, established under the Medical Teaching Institutions Reform Act, 2015 (as amended), invites applications from eligible candidates having applicable qualifications and experience for the services of the following as per below mentioned details:

QUALIFICATION <br> The candidate must be a medical academic with MBBS or equivalent qualification plus a post graduate qualification (FCPS, FRCS, FRCP, MRCP, MD, MS) recognized by PM&DC/PMC and a university degree/medical sciences recognized by HEC/PMDC. <br> EXPERIENCE <br> The candidate must have a minimum of twenty (20) years experience as a medical professional and a minimum of ten (10) years' management or administrative experience as Head of unit in leading a major teaching hospital or a medical teaching institution. He/She must have experience in financial management, human resource management, procurement, quality assurance, hospital operations, marketing, radiology and imaging services, pathology, and any other major hospital departments. <br> SKILLS <br> * Excellent soft skills including but not limited to communication, ability to work under pressure, leadership, problem solving and decision making assigned by the Board of Governors (BOG). <br> * Excellent administrative & management skills. <br> * Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. <br> * Ability to lead an employee's strength compatible with the institution. <br> MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES <br> The Medical Director shall be responsible for all clinical functions of the hospital. <br> Responsibilities include: <br> * Ensuring clinical excellence in all aspects of hospital functions. <br> * Ensuring timely, efficient & courteous patient services. <br> * Ensuring continuous professional development. <br> * Undertaking clinical governance for quality control. <br> * Ensuring implementation of best clinical governance practice (IFP). <br> * Facilitating the smooth running of various clinical departments, new clinical programs, and developing an annual clinical budget including hospital medical equipment, supplies, human resource and IT and submit the same to the Board of Governors for approval & implementation. <br> * The Medical Director shall report to the Board of Governors of MTI-ATH and shall be responsible for compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures issued by the institution as amended and updated from time to time by MTI-ATH.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. Only Shortlisted Candidates will appear for interview before the Selection Committee.
  2. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualification, experience and skills for the position to be confirmed during interview.
  3. The overall personality, communication with the intended role must be kept in mind while selecting the candidate.
  4. Candidates are required to bring original documents.
  5. Only those candidates who meet the selection criteria will be called for interviews. Candidates to have service and experience in MTI-ATH employees will be given preference.
  6. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and cannot be challenged in any court of law. No TA/DA will be paid for the above mentioned positions of MTI-ATH/AMC/ACD Abbottabad.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Application in acceptable only on a prescribed performa available on official website of Ayub Medical College (AMC) / Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) i.e.
  2. Application must be submitted through Email on the following official Email ID: seniormanagerhr.ath@ayubmed.edu.pk in a required stipulated time.
  3. All the applicants must fill the application form and attach their CVs with detailed list of qualifications, experience and any other relevant documents of the position along with the online application and appointment shall be in accordance with the MTI-ATH Abbottabad Regulations and policies, as amended and updated from time to time by the Board of Governors, MTI-ATH.
  4. All the educational documents & experience certificates shall be verified during the process of short listing and in case of false or fake information, the candidate will be disqualified and legal action will be initiated.
  5. Applications must be accompanied by a Bank Draft of Rs. 2000/- (Non-Refundable) in favor of the Hospital Director, MTI-ATH Abbottabad or online deposit in Account No. 0017-005000570087 (Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad) of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Main Branch, Abbottabad, along with the application.
  6. Government employees shall apply through proper channel.
  7. Fresh applications will be accepted till October 18, 2025 and in case the vacancy is filled by an eligible applicant, as decided by the Board of Governors, MTI Abbottabad.
  8. The candidates selected for appointment will be offered a contract of three years or a continuous labor from the relevant department, as decided by the Board of Governors, MTI-ATH.
  9. The Medical Director shall be appointed for an initial term of three years, renewable for a further period of three (03) years each, at the discretion of the Board, subject to satisfactory annual performance evaluation (FPE).
  10. The Medical Director shall be a full-time, salaried employee.
  11. The Medical Director shall not be allowed private practice.
  12. Upon appointment, the Medical Director shall simultaneously renounce a faculty appointment commensurate with his/her experience and qualifications, as decided by the Board.
  13. The Medical Director shall practice exclusively on the premises of the Hospital, no outside private or ambulatory practice shall be permitted.
  14. Ineligibility: Candidates with any criminal record, previous termination from any government or semi-government organization, or major disciplinary proceedings, or those on long leave, must resign from Civil Service before applying.
  15. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
  16. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. No TA/DA will be admissible. Original documents must be presented at the time of interview.
  17. The Hospital Director, MTI-ATH Abbottabad reserves the right to reject any incomplete or late application.
  18. Any attempt to influence the selection process or provide false information will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
  19. No correspondence shall be entertained once the selection process is complete or candidates have been appointed.
  20. The Hospital Director, MTI-ATH Abbottabad reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or not to fill any vacancy without assigning any reason.
  21. The appointment will be subject to the final approval by the Board of Governors, MTI-ATH Abbottabad.
  22. The Hospital Director, MTI-ATH Abbottabad reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions mentioned in this advertisement without prior notice.
